Abstract: I examined the interpreting history and previous researches of the parable in Matthew 22:1-14 in the beginning. Then, I utilized a cultural approach to interpret the parable which emphasis on the text itself, a larger context of t1he text and the larger context of Taiwan. In the end, the meaning of the parable occurs after the interaction of the text and I, as a
Taiwanese reader. Jesus said/says the parable to his audience/ reader that the kingdom of heaven is contrast to a king who held a wedding feast for his son. The kingdom of heaven was/is not like the kingdom of (Rome) empire. Then, he left/leaves us a big challenging question that what the kingdom of heaven was/is/will be like? My answer to the question is a real story occurring in Taiwan.
